Marantz 4300 COMPLETE Rebuild Kit Recap Set with Transistors Relays (344 Parts)
Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for the Marantz 4300. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Marantz 4300, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors. This does not include new lights or fuses. This also does not include the driver or output transistors. I have new OnSemi MJ21195G/MJ21196G output transistors here. If you need them, though if your receiver is working you don’t need to replace the outputs. Each channel uses 4 outputs (2 pairs), and you should replace all 4 on the channel if you are replacing any. I also have a complete light kit available here. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the receiver, including the two main filter capacitors, which are replaced with new 22000 uf 80v Cornell Dubilier caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. They go up a bit in capacitance and voltage, which is fine, and will improve the sound. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards. The kit for the power supply includes replacement diodes and dual diodes, and there are 1N4148s included to replace the VD1212 glass bead varistors on the boards. There are also two new relays. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I rebuild Marantz equipment. The 4300 was one of the best Marantz receivers, and it deserves a high-quality rebuild. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film, Panasonic film, Supertech axial, and Cornell-Dubilier for the main filters. Brand new, correct size main filter capacitors. 2.2 uf 250v Panasonic film bypass caps for the main filter caps. A full recap kit for the tuner boards–no skipping those! New axial caps for the amp boards. The proper relays are included. Otherwise, eventually the original relays will wear out. Replacements for almost all the small transistors. There are a lot of bad transistors on the 4300, and they do need replacing. Your receiver will sound so much better with those ancient 2SC1345s gone. The proper KSC1815 transistors for the phono board–the KSC1845s will not always work properly here! Replacements for the glass bead varistors, which need to be replaced. 8 new TO-3 mica insulators are included for the output transistors. Surprisingly detailed and well-written instructions, plus a link to download a free service manual. The Marantz 4300 has a TON of parts in it. This kit includes a total of 344 parts, so this will take a fair amount of time. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors and diodes go in, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you’re doing and have a good soldering iron, a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 100W or 150W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details. No generic pictures here–I have clear pictures of the actual parts you will receive. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches. White LED fuse lamps. Blue LED fuse lamps. 6.3v bi-pin bulbs. Wired 8v 60ma bulbs. New main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230. Wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements. New 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values. New 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values. A large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair. New Wima film capacitors for stereo repair. New 250v yellow film crossover capacitors.
