This slide and lower parts kits come from either court or police department-seized and/or received firearms. The firearms are disassembled by gunsmiths, the serialized receivers are destroyed, and in the case of pistols, the slides and lower parts kits are made available for sale. In many cases, effectively new pistols are disassembled.
