Harman-Kardon 730 COMPLETE Rebuild & Repair Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap
Up for sale here is this complete rebuild set for a Harman-Kardon 730 receiver. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Harman-Kardon 730 amplifier board, tuner board, phono board, preamp/tone board, switch board, power supply board, and replace the four main caps. The phono board on the 730 is incorrectly designed, resulting in poor sound. This kit contains parts and instructions to fix this, which is fairly easy–you just have to change the values of four capacitors. Over time, capacitors and transistors start acting up and need to be replaced. The old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes: Amplifier board kit: 8 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC). Tuner board kit: 19 capacitors (Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Wima film). Phono board kit: 12 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Wima film). Preamp board kit: 14 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Wima film). 2 zener diodes (Onsemi). Switch board kit: 2 capacitors (Nichicon PW) 4 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi). Power supply board kit: 4 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC). Rectifier/Main capacitor board kit. 4 new main capacitors (Epcos 4700uf 50v). 1 piece of wire (to help in installing main caps). These are extremely high-quality genuine parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild vintage gear. I recently rebuilt a Harman-Kardon 730, which is what made me put together this kit. This should fix most problems with the 730. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated rebuild, though it’s not too bad, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches. White LED fuse lamps. Blue LED fuse lamps. 6.3v bi-pin bulbs. Wired 8v 60ma bulbs. New main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230. Wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements. New 630v yellow film capacitors at 13 different values. A large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair.
