The switch is made from new tooling here in the US and bears a much closer appearance to originals than all the others on the market.. Photos 7 & 8 show a late production NOS switch from the 1960’s. You get all parts shown, it’s ready to install. Yes, it’s expensive but the quality justifies it. The switch is the same as the one used on 45 and lightweight models but the mounting and pull mechanisms are different. We do offer this kit for 45 models for a bit less than the big twin kit. Switch includes straight slot 2626 screws, the paper insulator, correct spring pull, spring, hardened pull wire, and correct mounting hardware. This is literally all you need to install. Of course H-D used different finishes and had small detail changes especially from’39 to’57 so as far as 100% “correct” for your year/model, I’m not certain. All I can tell you is this does fit the following. Please study the photos, the finish is excellent on these as well as the attention to detail and craftsmanship. This is a very well engineered replacement switch. It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy. That’s the only way I can solve a problem.
